Many young adults are unaware of the hidden costs that come with owning a car. The shock is even greater when all the expenses are added up! In this interview, you’ll learn why the all-inclusive car subscription works well for student and young driver Valerie.

About Valerie

Valerie is a student who chose her first car through Carvolution's all-inclusive subscription. As a young driver, she wasn’t aware of some of the hidden costs and efforts involved in owning a car, which is why she greatly values the all-inclusive package and clear cost breakdown.

How did you come across Carvolution and what convinced you about the car subscription?

At first, I asked my driving instructor if he knew about Carvolution. Surprisingly, he hadn’t heard of it back then. After about a year, I did some research online and contacted someone from Carvolution through the website. We had a phone call, and I received a non-binding consultation.

This is your first car. Why did you choose Carvolution?

As a student, the car subscription is ideal. Leasing and similar options were too complicated for me, and it was difficult to predict what costs would arise. The cost transparency wasn’t what I wanted. At Carvolution, everything is in one package. I don’t have to worry about anything. Carvolution is a provider I can easily and reliably contact if anything happens. For someone like me, who has never had a car and doesn’t know how to change tires or handle other maintenance tasks, it’s perfect. Additionally, with the Carvolution app, I have a clear overview of the kilometres driven, contact persons for services, tire changes, damages, accidents, and much more.

Have you adjusted your kilometre package before?

Yes, a few times. Originally, I planned to drive regularly to the Engadine in the winter. So I started with 1200 kilometers. In the summer, I used the car less. Then I switched to a smaller kilometre package.

How do you find the costs?

The all-inclusive package fits perfectly for me. You’re paying for the quality and the service. Carvolution offers great cars, and they are very fair to their customers. For example, I was supposed to get a VW at first, but when they had a cheaper all-wheel drive model available, they called and told me: “We found something cheaper.” It was an honest consultation, and they didn’t try to push the more expensive cars. That gave me a really good feeling.

How would you describe the subscription in your own words?

Simple, flexible, uncomplicated. Those are the three main qualities people know. I would also add high quality. You get a very new car, which is not always guaranteed elsewhere, and all at a good price.

Who would you recommend the subscription to?

In my opinion, it’s very practical for young people. Especially for those getting their first car, but also for people who only need a car occasionally, such as during an internship abroad in Switzerland if they need a car to commute to their university or workplace.
