Car subscription pioneer Carvolution is entering into a partnership with Swiss internet, telephony and TV provider Teleboy. Thanks to the cooperation, Teleboy customers can now subscribe to over 30 models of various brands - in addition to the existing electric cars. All offers include an all-inclusive package in which drivers pay a fixed monthly price. Through this cooperation, the two companies want to strengthen their position in the fast-growing market.
The young start-up Carvolution from Bannwil in the Upper Aargau is cooperating with the Zurich-based company Teleboy, which offers internet, telephony and TV services throughout Switzerland, in the distribution and marketing of car subscriptions. Teleboy already launched a car subscription for Smart and Renault electric cars in spring 2020 under the name "Teleboy Drive". Thanks to the cooperation with Carvolution, the business area will now be developed further together, as Teleboy CEO Victor Masopust explains: "After one year of 'Teleboy Drive', we are taking positive stock. At the same time, we have noticed a great demand for additional models and vehicle types. We are happy to meet this customer demand, but are relying on the cooperation with Carvolution, the established partner for car subscriptions, so that we can focus on our core business."
Rapid growth expected
Carvolution has quickly become the largest car subscription platform in Switzerland after its founding in 2018 and is gaining momentum as an alternative to leasing and buying a new car. As with "Teleboy Drive", Carvolution customers receive a new car in an all-inclusive package at a fixed price and can also choose between several terms as well as process their order digitally throughout and manage it later via the app. "Carvolution's orientation, values and processes are an ideal fit for us. I am convinced that we will grow quickly together in this business model," adds Masopust. Carvolution CEO Olivier Kofler is also convinced of rapid growth: "Teleboy has already successfully launched a car subscription with 'Teleboy Drive' and we at Carvolution, as pioneers in this market, are looking forward to taking over their offer in the future and developing it further together. With Teleboy, we have a strong partner for marketing at our side." The market for car subscriptions is currently developing rapidly: Industry experts expect a market potential of 40 per cent of new registrations by 2030.
