Both subscription providers include insurance, registration, tires, service, maintenance, and the Swiss road vignette in their subscription packages. However, there are differences in the deductible for comprehensive insurance and general insurance. The deductible at Hyra is divided into three packages. In the Basic package, the deductible for comprehensive insurance is CHF 1,000, in the Optimum package CHF 750, and in the Pro package CHF 500.

Customers under 25 at Hyra should also be aware that they will pay a flat CHF 2,000 deductible for each insurance package and per claim.

At Carvolution, young drivers only pay a surcharge that serves as additional insurance for both the customer and Carvolution. Moreover, Carvolution offers the option to adjust the comprehensive insurance to suit personal preferences. The deductible per claim can be set between CHF 250, 500, and 1,000.

Both providers also offer the option to take out parking damage insurance and negligence insurance. Worth mentioning is Carvolution’s special offer for parking damage insurance: You benefit from a CHF 0 deductible for two damages per insurance year (12 months).

Carvolution also offers the option of taking out legal protection insurance for traffic accidents.

How Do the Providers Differ in Terms of Subscription Length?

With Carvolution, you can configure your dream car with a subscription period from 3 months to 4 years. If you want to keep it longer but have chosen a shorter subscription period, you can adjust the subscription to a longer period.

Hyra also offers a car subscription from a minimum of 3 months up to 2 years. Additionally, there is an option to rent the selected Volvo model for up to 90 days at a time, for individual days or weeks.

Can I Adjust My Mileage Packages?

With Hyra, adjustments during the subscription period are not possible. The number of kilometers stated in the contract applies. Mileage packages at Hyra start at 1,500 km.

At Carvolution, mileage can be managed and adjusted according to the customer's usage through the app. Additionally, Carvolution offers smaller mileage packages starting from 350 km for occasional drivers.

What Benefits Can I Enjoy?

Carvolution offers a fuel and charging card for its customers. With the AVIA fuel card, you benefit from a 5-cent discount per liter. And with the charging card for our customers with electric vehicles, you save 10 cents per kWh.

At Hyra, as mentioned earlier, you can rent available Volvo models for shorter periods, from 1 to 90 days.

How Flexible Am I in Choosing Models and Where Can I Pick Up the Car?

With Hyra's car subscription, you have a broad selection of Volvo models, which may vary depending on the partner garage near you. However, Hyra does not offer a delivery option. Make sure the Volvo model you select is available near you.

At Carvolution, you can choose from a range of vehicles that are prepared and delivered to your doorstep within 2-3 weeks. Additionally, you can pre-order certain models and facelifts if they are not yet available in our fleet. If you prefer to pick up the car yourself, you are welcome at our headquarters in Bannwil.
